Herbamilk from Switzerland-based Cosmetochem International is a natural plant milk formulated with different plant extracts and oils to form stable milky emulsions. The emulsions are PEG-free and contain only plant-derived emulsifiers. Herbamilk contains both hydrosoluble and liposoluble plant actives and has skin moisturizing, softening and emollient properties. According to company executives, Herbamilk remains stable under strenuous stability tests, including freeze/thaw cycles, high and low temperatures and centrifugation. As the Herbamilk emulsifier base remains the same, this allows a formulator to produce range extensions by changing the plant oil or extract within their product with minimum work.
